Foodie Spotlight

When I'm out and about, I do come across some wonderful products and services and I really do need to start sharing them with you!

Here's my first one to the spotlight -Krave

This is one that really came to light when I was busy packing lunches for a demo. What could I put in a packed lunch that required zero effort, still have a whack of good nutrition and it WASN'T SWEET! This is what I found and it's a delight to eat.

Krave is all about jerky (smoked and cooked meat) and biltong (air dried meat), but not like the jerky I have encountered in the past. The texture, available choice and flavours have made this a bit of a regular in my own household. Not fatty like previously purchased jerky, but amazing chewy, sweet, salty and not gristly at all.

I love to pack a lot of protein in my own lunch box, it gives me the energy I need to get through my day. Krave have portioned their products into highly portable and perfectly sized hits of protein that I will either have in my bag (for times of emergencies) or lunch box. I also add them to the kid's lunch boxes too as they love it!

Krave comes in different flavours and proteins -

  • Air-dried beef biltong in a warm chimichurri flavour
  • Cooked and smoked beef jerky in Szechuan pepper and ginger salt and,
  • If you or any of your family members struggle to get their 2x oily fish portions a week in, you will be pleased to hear that Krave have actually produced a salmon one (my favourite). A zingy lemon and dill flavour and not oily to eat.

I have found these in Sainsbury's and Tesco's so far, so easily found - keep your eyes peeled and get them in your store cupboard.

This is functional snacking at its best.
