Broccoli Stalk Chips


Don't throw the broccoli stalks away! You could make this great snack that is a little bit different but a big bit tasty and nutritious! Check out the lunch recipes for a warming soup to use them up in a different way and never put them in the bin again!

Recipe & Instructions

3 broccoli stalks
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Pinch of dried chilli flakes (optional)
1 tbsp of coconut/almond/oat or any flour of choice
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1/2 tbsp polenta or semolina

Pre-heat the oven to 200°C/Gas Mark 6 and lone a baking tray.

Cut the broccoli stalks in to thin disks and drizzle over the olive oil.

Mix the other ingredients together and sprinkle over the broccoli.

Place on to the baking tray and press on any loose crumb mix. Bake for 30 minutes until coloured.

Turn the oven off, leave the oven door shut with the broccoli inside to dry out for an hour.
